Hiya! I consider attending NFC, and would go by ferry to Trelleborg harbor.
Now I could use information about train connections to Stockholm, where to book, how to get cheap tickets, when the early-booking train tickets should be bought and if there are cheaper ways to get there!

I'd appreciate your help c:

You can search for trains here: http://www.sj.se/start/startpage/index.form?l=en

From Trelleborg you take a local train to Malmö and then a long distance train up to Stockholm. Normally SJ (the swedish train company) starts to sell discounted tickets about 90 days before the trip. So that would be a good time to book. Before that tickets are expensive and after that they slowly get expensive again when the discounted ones sell out.

From Malmö you should also be able to get a bus to Stockholm (e.g. by Swebus http://www.swebus.se/SwebusExpress_com/) ... they are normally a bit cheaper than trains but take a lot longer for the trip.

SJ uses a "floating prices" ticket plan and theyre cheapest tickets usually go on sale exactly 90 days before the travel date, so the best option is to go www.sj.se at that day and buy the tickets then. Depending on what connection routes youll find you can usually board SJs Intercity trains in Malmö, Lund and Hessleholm. Some trains also starts at Köpenhamns Centralstation (The capital of Denmark) and travells across the Öresundbridge towards Stockholm. For comuting in Skåne you can also check Öresundstrafiken that has bus and train services.

Also: Trelleborg is a tiny bit of the beaten track to go to Stockholm, I dont know how bound youre to use that ferry, but I would really recomend making a change at say Malmö or Köpenhamn instead, since thoose places have direct travels to Stockholm.
