Because every forum needs a Magic: The Gathering thread.

So, anyone here happen to play?

Don't play myself, but I have collected a large amount of the White Wolf: Werewolf the Apocalypse books.

Those are kind of unrelated, seeing as how Magic: The Gathering is a collectible card game, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse is a roleplaying game. ;)

But, I'm actually a pretty ardent fan of WtA! Have quite a few books, novels, some related posters and items, and invested a small fortune in the 20th anniversary Kickstarter. Slowly trying to complete my collection, but some books are pretty expensive and hard to come by, like the Silver Fang revised tribe book. Gets trickier when you live in Norway too, as most of the books are located in the US and the UK and the shipping charges can get pretty high (if resellers are even willing to ship abroad).

I will have to send you a picture of my collection :) I mostly bought them originally for the artwork that was contained, plus they had werewolves in which was enough for me.

I play MtG, although rather sporadically. I'm mostly Red, Green or a mix thereof. I will try to bring my deck(s) along in case anyone wants to play! :3

Would love seeing some of your collection, sure! There's some great art to be found in the books, for sure. One thing that annoyed me about the revised edition books, was that they had less art. Am a big Ron Spencer fan myself, who has also done several Magic cards!

Panterdjuret: Always good to bring a few decks, in case someone challenges you to a duel! I know at least me and another Norwegian will be bringing along a few decks.

I look forward to some MtG matches with others, but I'm far from good at it, so I may not be much of a challenge.
May be fun anyway, though. :3

Anyone happen to have any spare commons and lands they wouldn't mind either lending or donating to NFC?

Looking to get together sample decks of 30 cards each for the Magic For Dummies panel / workshop. Was originally going to get some from someone in the UK, but he was very slow with sending them out, so I'm worried they might not arrive before I leave (on Wednesday).

So if anyone could be able to help out with some cards for the event, or even prepare a couple of simple 30-card decks, that would be great!

Great, thanks! Not sure how many are really needed, and how many will attend the panel, but it's best to be prepared.
